Mod patch is for= MINERVA: Metastasis a mod for Half Life 2. Reason for patch= May-26-2010 Valve pushed a update to anyone that connected to the net via Steam anytime on, or after that date. If you had Auto-update turned ON, or manually allowed a update the old (working) engine was overwritten.The "update" totally rewrote the engine which broke alot of mods.

Requirements:

GCFScape (http://nemesis.thewavelength.net/index.php?p=26)
Source SDK Base 2006 (Install it from steam if you haven't already)
Half life 2: Episode 1 (Or a friend that can upload his episode 1 shared.gcf file)

Part 1: Extract Episode One's content

1. Exit Steam
2. Extract the episodic folder from the "episode 1 shared.gcf" to the desktop (or elsewhere) using GCFScape.
3. Drag and drop everything inside the episodic folder into the "Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods\metastasis" folder, overwriting everything.
4. The remaining empty episodic folder can be deleted.

Part 2: Apply the patch

5. Extract the "Minerva Fix v4.zip" to somewhere (e.g. desktop).
6. Copy the metastasis sub-folder from the zip file and paste it into "Steam\SteamApps\SourceMods", overwriting everything..
